Last week, we invited a group of Kynfolk to the AKYN Atelier for an afternoon of craft, creativity and inspiring conversation.
The event was the perfect embodiment of what AKYN stands for – Atelier Kyn – rooted in the tradition of craftsmanship and design, blending creativity with skill, and bringing people together for a moment of community and connection.

In the spirit of our Conversation Starters capsule – a collection created to spark conversations about the subjects that matter most to us in order to inspire positive change – guests were invited to embroider an AKYN shirt with a conversation-starting slogan of their choice.

Mother Supper.Through the act of embroidery, it was a moment of calm, and a moment to be present. We celebrated the revival of lost skills and craftsmanship – with Katherine Savage from Treasure Kave Embroidery teaching the group how to hand embroider their chosen slogan on the cuff or collar of our Fable Undyed Shirt – for many attendees a brand new skill.

Joining AKYN Creative Director Amy Powney at the AKYN Atelier were Jessie Bush, Maggie Wilson, Alex Stedman, Penny & Nikki aka @StyleintheStix, Caroline Cook, Gilly Campbell and Jenny Garcia.
