A Year of AKYN
As we celebrate the milestone of AKYN’s first anniversary, we've been looking back at some of the highlights of the past 12 months.
COLLECTIONS 001 – 004
It has been an incredible first year, which saw us launch our first four full collections. Each collection is created to build upon the last, forming a considered wardrobe of enduring pieces – one rooted in beautiful craftsmanship, sustainable production, and effortless wearability. So you can feel good both ethically and aesthetically.

IN AKYN
Our collections are designed to empower women, offering versatile, timeless, and elevated pieces, crafted sustainably, to give women their final skin to go out and change the world. We’re honoured to have been worn by so many incredible women and changemakers, and love seeing our pieces bringing joy to our Kynfolk.
OUR KYNFOLK COMMUNITY
Community is at the heart of AKYN – the ‘kin’ in AKYN – and we love to bring our community together. This year we celebrated our launch with our Launch Dinner at Wild by Tart, attended by friends and Kynfolk including AKYN’s incredible advisory board.
In November, we hosted our Conversation Starters dinner - bringing together activists and changemakers all leading and championing important conversations. We also hosted our first pop-up store at TANK Magazine HQ, where we returned again in March 2026 for an extended residency andDenim Edit Pop-up Store. During the week-long pop-up, we also hosted a series of panel discussions – with Misan Harriman, Anita Rani, Caroline Issa, Tiffanie Darke and Jasmine Hemsley – and styling workshops with our founder and creative director, Amy Powney.
AWARDS AND CERTIFICATIONS
In our first 6 months we were awarded Pending B Corp, signalling our commitment to social and environmental impact right from the start. We are currently working towards full B Corp Certification, now that we are 12 months old.
The awarding of our Pending B Corp status signals that we are already starting the necessary work to measure and manage our social and environmental performance, adopting the B Corp legal framework from our inception.
In Country and Townhouse 2026 Future Icons Awards, we were honoured to win the Editor’s Choice - Cross Industry Award, and Highly Commended in the Best Sustainable Start-up category.

In March 2026, our founder and creative director Amy Powney was named Drapers Conscious Fashion Champion at the Conscious Fashion Awards.
