Inside The Denim Edit | Pop-Up March 2026

March 17th - 21st 2026 | TANK, London

In March we returned to TANK for a second extended residency. It was an incredible, busy, week of community and connection, a chance for us to meet with our Kynfolk and for friends new and old to come together for conversation-starting panel discussions, styling workshops, as well as an opportunity to shop the AKYN collection in person. Here are some of the highlights from the week.

THE DENIM EDIT POP-UP STORE

Our Denim Edit pop-up store was a celebration of AKYN's signature sustainably-crafted denim styles, and an opportunity to introduce our newest denim style, Dylan. There was also a curation of core wardrobe icons to pair perfectly with our denim pieces.

On Thursday and Saturday we welcomed guests to two styling workshops with our founder and creative director, Amy Powney, who talked through the story of AKYN, the inspiration behind her designs and fibre choices, and how to style her favourite pieces from the collection.

AMY POWNEY IN CONVERSATION WITH CAROLINE ISSA, MISAN HARRIMAN, AND ANITA RANI

In the first of two conversation-starting panel discussions with an audience of invited guests, Amy sat down with chief executive and fashion director of TANK Magazine and AKYN Advisory Board Chair Caroline Issa, photographer and activist Misan Harriman, and presenter and storyteller Anita Rani, for a conversation focused on the courage to stand by one’s beliefs, the need to challenge and unlearn unconscious biases, and finding strength and hope in community.

AMY POWNEY IN CONVERSATION WITH JASMINE HEMSLEY AND TIFFANIE DARKE

For the second panel, Amy was joined by journalist, editor and sustainable fashion campaigner, Tiffanie Darke, and chef, founder and wellness expert, Jasmine Hemsley, for an enlightening discussion focused on growing research into the impact of chemicals and plastics on our health and wellbeing, the importance of being mindful of the fibres we interact with daily, and how we can support brands championing natural, organic materials by voting with our wallets.
